shortening the timeline

My video is only about 90 minutes long, but somehow, the timeline has gotten stretched out to over 3 hours long, and I don't know how to delete all of that extra timeline. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Take any bit of footage and put it on the timeline just after the "real" end. Right click on it, select "Select events to end" and delete.

Hmm..that didn't work, but that's alright. After closing and reopening the program, all of the extra timeline disappeared, so the problem resolved itself. Thanks again, Ian.
