Should I have received SonicFire?

I just upgraded to VMS14 from VMS11. The CD I received did not seem to have SonicFire on it. Actually, the CD did not have an installer menu, so I just ran each of the installation programs manually, and I didn't see SonicFire. I have been curious about SonicFire ever since Sony discontinued CineScore. How can I get a copy of SonicFire or the plug-ins? Or are they already installed somewhere?

Thanks.

To which version of Vegas Movie Studio 14 did you upgrade.
Only in the Suite version SonicFire Pro 6 and the Vegas plugin are available.

Ah, that may be the problem. I only have the Platinum version. I guess now I need to look into upgrading if ti looks like SonicFire is worth the cost.

How much of the SonicFire capability is included in the Suite? Is it the full version that you would get from SmartSound directly? It looks like you get the full version of the plug-in but not the whole product, right? How many QuickTracks are included, and do you get a choice of which ones? It looks like the cost of those QuickTracks can add up pretty quickly for just a home hobbyist.

Thanks.

You get the full version without usable Content

A few and no choise.

That I cannot deny, I was lucky to have a lot of Smartsound files from the past and even from my Pinnacle time more than 10 years ago.

You may want to check what you have in Smartsound. I also have a few left over from my Pinnacle days (also about 10 years ago!). You may have some included Core Foundations music. If not, you can get started with a few tracks for free from Smartsound.

I have those also but I don't like my viewers to confrontate with that kind of sounds.

Yes, if I was more skilled I might be able to do good things with Smartsound. But I am just a casual user who wants to add some backgrounds to videos of things like my dog, and it seems like SonicFire would be faster and easier, especially since I don't have a good sense of music composition. I would be interested in hearing any other ideas for products suitable for amateurs, or maybe I will try SonicFire for the cost of the upgrade to the Suite.
