DVDa has not changed and there is no need to do a re-install. I'm running dvda5b from 8 with no issues.

I don't know about th edisc version, but the DVDA5 in the download version seems to be identical to the latest DVDA 5.0b.

What's interesting is that you now have two valid serial numbers for DVDA 5. My approach was to uninstall DVDA 5, then reinstall it with the new serial number. My logic (probably faulty) is that for updating purposes in the future, you will probably need the new serial number, but who knows?

That is a good point with the serial number. Now I can throw this in my third machine and not worry about how many licenses I'm using.

You will still need to activate it (automatic internet connection).
