Show Clipped Shadows/Highlights

I just realized you can use the Sony Broadcast Colors (Secondary) Plugin to show clipped pixels, Photoshop-style, to make levels corrections easier.

For shadows, in the effect range, check limit luminance, select a high of 16 with no smoothing. uncheck limit saturation and uncheck limit hue. The plugin should now effect every pixel with an RGB value of 0-16 (black in studio levels).

Now, just crank up the offset all the way to the right. This will make every black or "lower" pixel go white, making it easy to see, and making it super easy to set your black point exactly where you want it.

Hope you find this as useful as I do. Just be sure to bypass the plugin before you render--and say goodbye inaccurate pseudo-waveform scope!
