Show Me How - please!

Show Me How. ( SMH ),
This is a great idea that Sony provided some while ago, - but somehow doesn't make much of . . . OK it needs a little "tweaking" perhaps, but the idea is that you can't cheat your way through the Tutorial ( Er, if you can read the Text, that is, Ooops! ).

However, I note that Elements has a similar system "Edit Guide" - which rather neatly spells "e.g." - I shall have to wait for someone to buy this to see how well it compares - if at all.

Where "SMH" is lacking is the Text size ( probably blame Microsoft for a poor Subroutine, but it can be re-engineered if Sony wanted to . . . and look at the benefits as the World populations get older. )

Another Area is in setting up Users files/folders . . I would think there is at least one "best" method depending on the number of cameras, workers, staff etc. ..but for SMS that usually amounts to Two of each, max. "Thee and Me"
By suggesting a working-practice Users would find their later Editing a lot easier, esp. when they need to change HDDs because they fill-up - so you are tempted to move out some unimportant folder and Whoah ! - Suddenly things don't work quite the same.

Another area that could be attended is the Rendering Options . . . very nice to have so many but "Why" ? - I only use the Sony AVCHD 50i ( I'm using PAL ) - that seems to play just about anywhere . . . but maybe the guys at Sony know different . . and can allow the SMH to guide me.

Also on rendering Options...Sometimes I make (dot)mp3 audio files ( Don't ask ), so there is no video content and any that I may create/use is "muted" when I Render.
However, it's really irritating the Program then sticks in mp3-render-mode and appears to force me to try and recall what settings I used before. Couldn't I have maybe three "Pre-set Renderings" ? - - - - e.g. maybe two for Movies and one for Audio-creations ( where SMS is used as an Audio Editor which it is well suited ).
I know there are "Favorites", but that doesn't sit well, IMHO
+Maybe that should be TWO for Audio also: mp3 and the lossless WAV if further Editing is likely...since mp3 is probably not ideal.
Folks that have read this far will know that Prosumer Camcorders have several "Pre-sets" that allow different situations to be restored at the touch of a Button / Menu, thus avoiding a long tedious trawl though almost everything.

FWIW - I created a Starter file - this sets up the Bins and the Layout almost how I like it ( With the Audio Meters to the Left of Preview ) - provided I don't "Save" before I've Save As xxxxx all is well.

I would also suggest SMH needs some PreRecorded movie files - so the Edit tricks can be shown using common files ( supplied in NTSC and PAL, please ).... Then SMH can show the completed Edit + Render "correct" and beginners would have something to compare with their efforts.

That's it . . .
