shutter fx idea someone?

I'm struggling with a shutter fx i want to add to a picture. The idea is to get a continuously varying luminosity, just like the old cinema shutter fx. Anybody has a trick for that?

There's an effect already included with Vegas, Sony Film Effects. Check enable particles and select the type Flicker.

I think the built-in Vegas Film Effects FX has a variable shutter option, I thought I was playing with that a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, Media fx>film effects has a control to adjust shutter for a flickering effect. Here's a short clip I did some time ago to simulate the look of an old time movie title:

Thanks all, it was a dumb question... I didn't find the flicker fx cause I have been fooled by the french version... :-)
