You point to the Vegas shuttlePro v2 "pref" file I hope, not the .exe (while the focus is on Vegas.exe)

C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 22.0\VEGAS Pro 22 -- ShuttlePRO v2.pref

From there on you may need to adapt the keys to your preference, or leave them default.

I have pointed it to Vegas VP 22 shuttlePro v2 "pref" file and set up my prefs as before but this is what it does as a sample I have set button 11 to stop playback key "Enter" I press the shuttle button 11 and it plays and stops as it should do but on the third press nothing happens it has stopped... Can you tell me what Contour Shuttle Pro V2 driver you are using, I am on 2.13.3 the latest I think

@AmazingM I use 2.13.4 (installed this driver around September 2022)

I am running the Trial Version and when I use the ShuttlePro (v. 2.13.5), it works for a short time then it stops working. To get it working again, I have to open up the ShuttlePro Control Panel and point it again. Does anyone know why it only works for a very short time then loses focus?

@Pickleball-Aloha I am still on ShuttlePro (v. 2.13.4), no issue here with VP22, maybe install version 2.13.4?

I wonder what is new in version 2.13.5 - oh I just checked on their website, version 2.13.5 is the 64 bits version driver for windows 10/11 while 2.13.4 is the 32 bits driver version...

@Grazie you are a Shuttlepro user as well if I recall, which driver version are you using?

I have installed ShuttlePro (v. 2.13.5) just now, It seems to be working fine as well.

My issue was fixed after I unplugged the Contour USB from the computer then plugged it in again...???? I also installed driver 2.13.5 too. So all is working fine.

I had to uninstall the 2.13.3 and 2.13.5 and just installed 2.13.4. Since it’s working, I may leave it on that version.

I just dug out my old Shuttle Pro 2 to use with Vegas 22 build 250, on Win 11. I have installed 2.13.5 of the Contour Shuttle Device Configuration app. I have imported the VEGAS Pro 22 --ShuttlePRO v2.pref settings file and all works fine with the default settings in that file. However, although I am able to enter new button values in the config app, even when applying the new settings, the button will only perform the default action from the settings file.

Example:

• By default, button 1 is set up to MOVE LEFT BY MARKER (keystroke = CTRL-LEFT ARROW).
• I want to change that to SPLIT AT PLAYHEAD POSITION (keystroke = S).
• I select button 1 in the config app, and in the Keystroke field I type S (without changing any other values).
• I hit APPLY.

However, when I press button 1, it still performs the MOVE LEFT BY MARKER command. It's the same with any other buttons or key combinations. I have tried closing and opening both the config app and Vegas, to no avail.

I had this working correctly in Windows 10 with (I believe) Vegas Pro 21. I'm not sure if I have used the Shuttle Pro since upgrading to Windows 11, though. It's frustrating because I only actually use the Shuttle to jog through long video captures and split timeline events! I was thinking of setting it up to take advantage of the other buttons.

Any thoughts as to what I might be doing wrong? Cheers.

@Ian_S Be sure you are attempting to change the correct presets by selecting the Vegas Pro 21 settings before making changes. I sometimes forget and just end up changing the default app, no the Vegas one.
