ShuttlePro Hercules version (DV Action Pro): V4 .pref file?

Hi all,

Instead of getting a Contour ShuttlePro, I decided to get the DV Action Pro bundle from Hercules, which includes a Contour ShuttlePro (plus firewire PCI), but is cheaper, at least in Switzerland. Unfortunately, the software that comes with it doesn't seem to be able to read .pref files made for Contour ShuttlePro (original Vegas4 .pref file as well as the one on Sundance). Does anybody know if there's a way around it, or at least what settings the Sundance setting is using precisely so I can enter the settings manually?

I can't imagine someone else wrote a driver for the ShuttlePRO, but it's possible. The "Import" option is only the menu summoned from the button to the right of "Target Application". If that's not there, you should un-install the driver that came with it, and install the driver available from the Contour AVS website.

Unfortunately, the drivers are indeed different (probably not featurewise, but a good example of for product protectionism directed against legitimate users!): the original AVS drivers do not run with the Hercules ShuttlePro! And Hercules didn't yet reply to my requests. Fortunately, I can still install the original software w/o ShuttlePro, load a setting, export it as .txt file and then manually enter the settings from the txt-file into the Hercules version of the control panel. Not an optimal solution, but at least working.
