SIAP: Couple V-Pro8 Questions...

I have Vegas6 and really like it. I use it more than I do Avid and Premiere CS3, which I also own.

I've briefly skimmed some stuff about upgrading from version 6 to version 8, and that I should notice some changes in a two-version jump like that. I wanted to take advantage of the upgrade special before the offer expires, if it's worth it.

Are people getting more out of Vegas 8? Also, does it work with Boris FX9.1 and Graffiti5.1 without issue? I notice that Boris supports Vegas7 in the install, but obviously didn't see Vegas8. Are there patches or anything of the like available from Boris for Vegas8?

Thanks. I'm looking forward to upgrading if it's worth it. Appreciate any feedback.

You can download the Vegas 8 demo and play with it.

If you use HDV, they have made a lot of improvements.

One feature that doesn't seem like much, but is hugely useful is the UI changes that made regarding snapping. Once you've tried it, you don't want to go back.

If you do a lot of color correction or effects, you will like the 32 bit color.

I have to ask: What does "SIAP" mean?

Thanks.

Correct, "SIAP" = "Sorry If Already Posted."

I figure on a forum like this, my questions have been asked ad nauseum.

Does anyone know anything about the compatibility of Boris FX9.1 and Graffiti5.1 with Vegas 8? I use that quite a bit with Vegas 6 and would hope that I could continue to do so with Vegas 8.
