I've seen some slideshow demos online where there are two pictures shown at once on the screen. Sometimes they will show one picture...and then another slides in. Can Vegas Studio do this? Also...is there a way to get video to go slow motion or speed up?
Track motion lets you resize and move the tracks around. Place your two pictures on two separate tracks. Click the track motion button in the track headers (looks like a smaller rectangle inside a larger rectangle with an arrow joining the corners). You can drag the corners of the dashed rectangle that appears to resize the image, then drag the whole rectangle around to position it. Use the keyframe timeline at the bottom of the track motion window to allow you to set different sizes and positions from one moment to another to create motion.
Also look at pan/crop, which lets you change the shape of the images and can be used for moving resizing as well.
There's a very easy way to change the speed of the video. Hold the Ctrl key down while dragging the end of the event left or right. If you Ctrl-drag to the right you "stretch" the clip out and it will play slower. Ctrl-drag to the left to "squish" it and it will play faster.
thank you so much for the tips. I own Sony 4.0 and I've downloaded the free trial of 7.0 platinum to check it out. I can get the photos side by side in the 7.0 like you suggested...but I can't figure out how to get them to move in the bottom track motion window or the pan/crop. In 4.0 I had a play button to preview...and in 7.0 I don't. Can you help me with that as well? Do you use 7.0 or 6.0.
