Sorry I am sure this has been answered some place but cant find anything about it. I have also used the help in the program.

How do I set the speed of a clip? The lowest I can get it to is 0.250 trough properties. What i want is a "picture" from my avi with no movement. How?

If I want to changes the speed in a clip but not all in the clip shall changes speed, do I then have to split the clips?

Hope someone can give me some easy answers x)

To create a freeze frame, you can use a velocity envelope set to 0. You can also extract a still from that exact location, and place the still on the timeline.
Velocity envelopes also allow you to control how fast or slow the clip changes speed prior to the freezeframe.
If you visit the www.vasst.com/login.htm website, you'll find lots of tutorials on just this, and this specific question is answered in detail in the Vegas FAQ.
Edward Troxel's site also has lots of information on this question.

Thanks for the help. I only understood the first part and was exatly what I wanted, but I cant set it to 0% its too "unprecise" : /

And like i said I know it probably has been answered many ways, it is judt hard if your language isnt english to know what you shall look for.

Jink,
if you right click on the velocity envelope and "add point"
then you can right click that point again, it will give you a choice to set to 300% or norm velocity or 100%, then below that is "set to" select that one and you can type in 0.
