More that likely, combine unless one channel has noise. Given this is voice loosing a channel if there is noise may not be a problem though..

Once you combine the channels you will probably want to R-click the pan fader and select Constant Power.

Why combine?
Lay down a MONO track. When you select your input for the track, choose whichever channel is connected to the mic.
