I know this has been covered, but I can't find it in search.

I have all my photos sequentially numbered.... How do I drop them into the timeline from vegas explorer or windows explorer and maintain the sequence?

From Windows Explorer: select them like you normally do in Windows.
Then click-and hold the FIRST of the pictures and drag and drop this to the timeline where you want it.
Then all pictures are inserted - each having the length specified in Options Preferences Editing New still image length...

Yeah, that's a Windows "feature," not Vegas, so don't blame Sony for that one.

If I select 200 items in Explorer, and then click and drag while pointing to the twelfth item instead of the first, someone at Microsoft will have to explain to me why I would EVER want the twelfth item to appear first, followed by the 2nd, 3rd, etc. Crazy.
