Slideshow 5 second problems!?

I have just started using Movie Studio. I have selected like 20 images from the media pool and dropped them into the video timeline and they were automatically set into 5 second intervals.

When I play back the video, it plays and holds image #1 for 30 seconds. It skips images 2,3, 4, and five and then plays the image at the 30 second timepoint.

What it going on?

Kristen, can we get a look at your .vf project file? That might give us some clue as to what is going on. If you could email it to testbench@vegasusers.com i'll be happy to examine it. Also, what types and sizes are the pictures you are using? And, one other question, what are your computer's stats for processor speed, memory, etc?

Are you noticing this problem when previewing the clip in SB or after it has been rendered?

I have noticed that when previewing a photo slide show in SB, that transisitons and the next photo may not display or just very briefly. I believe it is due to my PC being only a PIII 650 with 384 meg RAM and SB trying to load the next photo. The larger the file, the longer it takes to load.

If I loop through just two or three photos, then the problem is not as bad as SB probably cache's the files and has them in memory.

Once rendered though, the photos and transistions do display properly on the DVD.

This is only a theory, but one that seems to make sense to me.
