Place each video clip on a separate track (well, the tracks can be reused after the current clip has completely disappeared off the edge, then it can hold another clip, but it may be easier at first to use completely separate tracks). Use Track Motion to start each clip off one side of the screen, set a keyframe when you want it to enter, then another keyframe when you want it to exit, and reposition the clip off the other side of the screen at that second keyframe. You'll probably also want to set smoothness to 0% for a constant speed.

The clips can be any type of visual media, generated media, text, stills, moviing video, etc.

If setting smoothnes to 0% give me a constant speed, how do I add the portion of black between the boxes.
I'm at work and don't have Vegas.

It's your backdrop that is black and these clips appear "in front of" this black backdrop (which is not moving).
So just size your boxes so there is a space between them.
