Looking for help with Slip Editing. I am fairly new to Sony Vegas so bear with me
I have used slip editing (holding the Alt key and then moving the mouse left or right while hovering over an event) and it works fine and can be more precise if you zoom into the timeline. I have also used the Numeric Keypad shortcuts of 1 and 3 to move a clip one frame forward or backward on the timeline while keeping its length the same.
I recently saw a Slip Edit shortcut in my manual (hold Alt while pressing Num 1 or 3 to slip edit one frame forward or backward). I was hoping this keyboard shortcut would do essentially what the "Alt + drag the mouse" does, maintaining the clips original size AND position on the.timeline but move the "window" of what portion you see on a single frame basis. However, using Alt Num Key 1/3 does exactly the same thing as just pressing Num 1/3...it moves the clip one frame left or right on the timeline.
Does anyone else use slip editing and if so is there a trick to getting the keyboard shortcut to work?
