It seems that vegas 5 takes a very long time to open and save projects?
Im backing up old projects so i open them up in Veg5 and it starts by "opening wav´s" which i have never seen before and then it starts "building peaks "which seems to take forever and then after the save it builds peaks again which is normal but its painfully slow.

Ist not hogging cpu power or anything so i wonder why ist so slow.

No probs here like that. Same opening time as V4. Overall performance is much better.

V5 used to take a loooong time for me to open also. I read a post on here that mentioned Video/Audio drivers. When I updated my inVidia and Echo drivers... mine started opening fine. Sometimes I will still get a hung start, but for the most part updating Video & Audio drivers really helped me out.

I've experienced this same slow opening, much slower than VEgas 4. Interesting about the video and audio drivers. I'll have to check and see if there are any updates for my drivers.
