one way is to hold down the control key, left click on your video and drag it out with your mouse

Frankly, that was uncalled for. If you cannot be civil, why don't you go play someplace else?

The one part that was missed is that you need to place your cursor over the right edge of your clip - when holding down the control key you'll see the cursor change from the square box to a square box with a squiggly line over it, at which point you can drag to the right and achieve the slow down effect.

I am sorry you are frustrated and dont understand the program moviemontage - but there is no reason to lash out like that. If you don't like or understand my suggestions all you have to do is ignore them and seek help from someone else. Just so you know , this is a forum where people from different levels of experience and expertise can share their ideas - for free. I don't believe anyone in any of these forums claim to know it all. Perhaps you should read the instruction manual a few times, and, if you have any questions, perhaps you should call Sony and pay for their technical support. I am sure they are bonafide experts. Good luck with learning Vegas Movie Studio!

p.s. you should watch your language in here - I find it offensive

I'll ignore your attitude and tell you exactly what to do.

Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the end of the video clip out to the right while holding the key down.

Oh, rustier already told you how to do that, didn't he?
