slow motion and audio sync

If you check on youtube or on stage6.divx.com the Madonna's "Rain" or Linkin Park's "Crawling" video clips, both are actually somewhat in slow motion. My question is, how do you achieve this "mild form" of slow motion, without losing sync with the audio? Let's assume that you shoot the video clip with a portable CD player with the singers lip syncing, and then you manually are going to sync the audio to it. How do you create this "somewhat slow" motion effect and still keep in audio sync?

If the audio and video are separate sources, select the two together. Of course, if the audio is already included in the video clip then they're already grouped so selecting one automatically selects the other. Then hold the Ctrl key down while you stretch the end of either event out to the right to slow them both down together or squish to the left to speed them up.

I've just got time for a quick reply here (ummm, I should have left already...), so I didn't have a chance to look at either of those videos, but I think effects like that are often acheived when shooting the video.

In Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" video (I love it!), there's a behind-the-scenes version that shows that the music is playing at a slower-than-normal speed while filming. Then, of course, the film is sped up in post to match the normal speed of the song, which gives it a certain snappy, stylized effect.

Thank you both for your answers. I think Tim is closer to the truth here, because i don't think that this effect can be done on post...
