slow motion and speed up clips

i just recently purchased sony vegas 11 movie studio hd platinum and am making a video is there a way to just type the speed you want of the clip rather than holding down CTL and streching or shrinking clip to change the speed of it?? all help is appreciated thank you. this is solid great product also though

Right click > Properties > Frame Rate. Let us know if that helps. Cin
