Can Vegas make a file which then can be burned to a dvd, so it will play on a ordinarry dvd-player? So without rendering again for use in dvdarchitect and then rendering again
OK, sorry it seems YES/NO wasn't the total solution;), but thanks anyway. So to which format should I render? And burn that file straight to DVD. Thing is that i thought you need those "special" files which are in a audio/video maps (after rendering in dvdarchitect) for burning to dvd?
Typically you would render the video to MPEG2 (using one of the DVD Architect presets) and the audio to AC3. These are then given to DVD Architect and will NOT need any re-rendering UNLESS they are too big to fit on the DVD. Therefore, you need to make sure they are not too big before rendering.
Once in the DVD program before burning the DVD they will still have to be "prepared" but that is a different step. I have this entire procedure written up in my newsletter including a bitrate chart so you can get the MPEG2 file properly sized.
