Smart Render HDV-> DV For DVD

Here is an issue I ran into today. I redered out an M2T file and allowed smart render to do its thing. That file turned out great. I then took that file and made a DVDA widescreen compliant render and a AC3 pro audio render. I then put these two files in DVDA, it built peaks and then I made it into a menu-less DVD. I put it in the player and there are 4 places in a 7 minute long video that the picture goes to black and the sound drops out for about 1 second. I checked the M2T file and it was fine. I checked the mpg file (DVDA widescreen template) and it had the errors on it.

Has anyone else ran into this?

By the way, this is on XP sp2 using 8a and DVDA 4.5a.

HDV-> DV For DVD?

Does that mean you rendered to DV (NTSC DV25) before rendering to MPEG-2 for DVD?

No. I just went straight from the M2T encoded file to mpg2. I should have titled better.

As a note, the M2T file had plenty that was reencoded due to CC and text overlays.
