Smart Resample Question

The help file says this about smart resample "Resampling occurs only when an event's calculated frame rate does not match the project frame rate and the project frame rate is 24 fps or greater."

My source is 29.970 and my project is 23.976.

How precise is the help file when it says 24 fps does that include 23.976? So I should have Smart Resample turned on? Or does 24fps mean just that and I should have Smart Resample turned off

Leave it turned on.
It does no harm, and if the source->render parameters are close enough, it will Smart Render. When this is working, the preview screen goes black with white lettering that says, "No Recompression Required".
