Smart Sample

I noticed that Vegas works about 10000 % better on smart sample with 8mm video than VHS.

I'm not sure what you mean by your comment. Smart resample is the default and should generally be used for ALL video, whether DV, 8mm, or VHS.

When you stretch out a clip to the max and it fills in the extra frames for slow mo. (CTRL-Drag). VHS will have many more out of focus frames than the 8 mm. That is "poor quality" VHS I mean.
