Smart upscale : SD to HD, two quick questions

Since HOS was mentioned, here's the table comparing the quality of different resizers for uprezzing. As I mentioned in the original thread, the test was strictly for the quality of uprezzing. Since SmartUpscale does other things (probably sharpening plus ??), it's not a truly fair comparison.

Edit: Just found the original thread which describes the testing procedure. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/upscaling-quality--121777/

"probably sharpening plus ??" There is very little info. on it all right.

I updated my table on page 2 of that thread referenced above.

I did a small up and down scaling test, using x264 in my VFR2CFR util, VP with and without Smart upscale and HOS using Lanczos4 filter.

#1 Basically VP as is. #2 VP with Smart Upscale. #3 HOS using Lanczos4 filter. #4 VFR2CFR util using x264.

I used both a CPU and an Nvenc encode for each of the 4 types of test. The downscale shows really no differences, but the upscale does show the standard VP without Smart upscale trailing. All tested on my Acer laptop, i7-6700HQ, Nvidia GTX-1070.

CMOS rolling shutter correction and improvements for Titles&Text is on our (community wish) list.

These two features are what I really miss now. The first for better stability, the second for easier but more complex text creation. Unfortunately, the Titles & Text function does not save the keys in the preset, although it would be good for creating custom texts, but a ProType Titler level editor would be best.
