I don't own Vegas pro (yet)but I'm wondering if it will
sync to SMPTE time code and can i control my VTR's with
it... I'd like to use it as a video post tool - but it has
to support these features.
Vegas can sync to and generate MTC. It will also generate MIDI Clock.
It does not support MMC or other VTR standards.

anything you can say about the future? It would make this a truly
viable A/V product...

What kind of hardware are you looking to interface to? What VTR
control devices are you using. Be specific, as the more details I
have the more I can investigate this.
Are you using LANC? What kind of MMC to VTR control hardware do you
use? Are there any standards that are being used? How do you do it
now and with what software tools?
Thanks
