I cut this out of the Sony FAQ.

"Will Sony Pictures Digital continue to sell downloadable software?
Yes."

How is it they changed their mind so quickly? Is it because of the bundled MyDVD 4.5? Or was it an idle promise to begin with?

I have VF 2.0c and luv it. I was ready to buy and download the new upgrade software ScreenBlast Movie Studio with all of the additional features.

Is Sony another Pinnacle/Adaptect? Buy out the company, in this case the low end product line, then kill the product. This will turn off a lot of happy and loyal VF users.

I hope they change their minds and offer the downloadable upgrade again.

This was discussed in another thread; there are licensing problems that are keeping them from making it downloadable. I hope they clear this up soon because not having a downloadable trial to offer people is going to stop some people from trying it and buying it. Not a smart move on Sony’s part.
