Solid color of 3 secs duration as preset?

I'd like to be able to save a solid color preset of 3 seconds duration, I find I can save all the color settings as presets but the change in duration is not saved.
I realise I could just save the clip in the media pool but I do a lot of small projects and it would be handy to have preset colors of set durations available.

If you set 3 seconds as default for generated media that should take care of it.

why not make a separate folder in Windows Explorer, and fill it with exactly what you need?

there is also a preference (somewhere) to set the clip length of still image imports. can't remember where it is, but that might be just what you need.

Thanks for the suggestions, probably the best trick is to save the generated media in a separate folder with some meaningful names.
