SOLVED -- how to restore deleted audio to video event -- SVP 13

Hi folks,

I'm wondering if there is a (simple) way to restore deleted audio to video events on a Vegas Pro 13 timeline. I'm doing a complex multicam edit and unfortunately the video and audio became ungrouped (I believe that's what SVP does when you move in and out of the multi cam edit mode/feature) so I opted to deleted all of the audio to clean up the project rather than manually regroup hundreds of events. Eventually the video has become desynced from the (3) master audio tracks as the edit progressed. The easiest fix now seems to be to restore the corresponding audio related to the camera/video events and run pluraleyes to re sync the project. I’m hoping to find an easy way to do this...

So my question, is there a (preferably simple) way to restore deleted audio to an event on the timeline? I have heard there are scripts freely available that may accomplish this? Any and all ideas welcomed!

Thx, LDC

PS: I'm quite amazed that this feature does not exist within SVP as a standard tool; perhaps something Magix might consider in the future version of Vegas?...

I use the mighty Excalibur by Edward Troxel. But I have done a Google search for Calderwood site and that script resides there, but needs to be re-edited for the new MAGIX owners.

I-Hansen, no I don't think there is a simple way in VP but Vegasaur (VP Extension) does it with one click. You simply select the event that has "lost" it's audio, click "restore audio" and the restored and synced audio will appear on a new track. This only works for audio that was recorded on camera and part of the original video clip rather than separate audio that you snyced up in VP and just grouped with video. I presume that you can select multiple events and this command will restore the multiple audio events in one click but must admit have never tried that. This feature of Vegasaur alone has saved me lots of time. When putting sound tracks together I'm often pinching bits of sound from one clips and stretching it over others etc and often I end up "losing" a clip's sound so it's nice to know I can get it back all synced up easily.
