[Vegas Pro Edit 14]

So to start off my computer was having problems with RAM and Windows auto updated and Blue screened my computer, Short story I took it in for repairs they replaced the RAM, reinstalled Windows 10 with full updates and when I got home I updated my Drivers. I tried to start Vegas Pro Edit 14(Which worked in the past) it crashed on "Initializing GPU-accelerated video processing..." Is there a fix for this crash??

My GPU - GeForce GTX 1070
Driver Version - 398.36

Current Version listed is the same Version I previously used Vegas Pro Edit 14 on.

Thanks

Here is what I would do if it were me. Download .framework 3.5 onto your ubs stick/external drive. Then, uninstall vegas Pro and uninstall .framework currently on your PC. 1)Reinstall .Framework 3.5 and reinstall the latest GPU Driver. 2) Reinstall vegas Pro 14. Give that try.

Due to the problems with your system, Vegas might be defaulting to use your integrated GPU (If you have one). I have found vegas will crash on "Initialising GPU-accelerated video processing" if the allocated video memory is set too low. 64mb will cause the crash (from memory).

You could try turning off your IGPU in bios, which will probably force vegas to use your gtx 1070, or you could do what BruceUSA said, uninstall vegas & including personal preferences & re-installing.

Take a good look at the "display driver uninstaller" utility (section 8.)

I tried the display driver uninstaller with reinstalling Vegas Pro as well, nothing has changed.

What CPU do you have? Does it have an internal GPU?

I have an Intel Core i7-7700K Quad-Core 4.2 GHz, pretty sure it doesnt since only my gtx 1070 shows under display drivers. I have also made sure in Nvidia control panel that everything is running off my gtx 1070.

Well, the i7-7700k does have an iGPU, its a HD630. See if you can completely disable it in the BIOS and try to start Vegas holding CTRL+SHIFT to reset it.

Only thing I even came across in Bios that I could see to disable it was primary display which I set to PCIE which didnt work. Normally would show under onboard devices but no luck.

TruNemesis wrote on 7/30/2018, 7:23 PM

Ok... It was my iGPU, I forgot I could show hidden devices. I uninstalled the iGPU and Vegas started up with no problem.

Thanks for all the help that you guys gave me.
