Some clips don't show in Preview window

Using MSP 16 Build 175 with Windows 11.

Have a string of edited clips, butted together. When I start playing from the start, I see video on my preview screen. However, at some point at the start of a clip, there is no video for the next three clips and then it starts again. There is no FX on any of the clips. What could be causing this?? BTW, if I open the project with VP 20, the same thing happens.
