Some image particles and an elusive ball

the only overlay not done in Vegas was the image particles and fireworks = Particle illusion
all Png’s, the Spanish flag I used a flat png and a black and white clip of flapping cloth with a displacement map and same cloth clip as a hardlight with a gradient for the blue highlights on the flag

something that works well in Vegas if you have a mask gradient and your media under the mask you can still place a gradient under the media with a straight alpha for example the trophy at the end with the gradient dropping down

Excellent Rors!

Being piccie?

The narrative was a bit too slow for your excellent work, needed a bit more thrust. I would have focused on either the eye and out or the boot and out. The Text needs to have an Outline and zoom in slowly.

I'd also liked to have seen a Ghost Like image of the Cup in the BG - that's what they were aspiring towards - yeah?

I have more feedback . .

Great work Rors!

Grazie

It's very good. Things I noticed:

The ball moves wierdly. Different keyframe interpolation so it changes speed as it bounces off the players might help.

The waving flag has some unnatural ragged edges.

Aahhh Grazie good idea “as always” about the ghost image thanks. it’s amazing how different perspectives gives a better view
Outline text check, on the boot thing the image is cut off, got the point can do something similar

Bob I think I can resolve the edges which are coming from the displacement map and need to be softer, it never worried me until you pointed it out

For the clip I wanted to give the ball a life of its own almost like you can direct it but not control it
With Spain, matador, Ball replace the bull in the ring type of feel,

I only had 1 piece of Spanish string audio that felt appropriate and overlaid that with a punchy drum beat and with a bit of elastique got the beat to sync added some walla and fireworks and built the visual from this, was only given images low res so had to make do.

OK, great concept. Problem was I didn't get that feeling at all.
I'm being hard on you because with what you've got to work with it's probably not going to be easy to pull off at all. Even worse looking at a live game of soccer unless you've played it its quite hard to appreciate hard it is to control the ball.
I just felt the ball wasn't visually interacting correctly with the players at all, that it was completely doing its own thing and in some slomo kind of world. One problem is you haven't got much space to work with and its only 2D'ish.
In one section the ball goes behind the players leg and then seems to bounce off his chest, sort of. My brain isn't getting the visual cues to resolve what was happening there. Did the ball bounce of the player or did it not touch him at all and just changed course of its own free will. no way to know for sure. The hard part I find trying to pull of these kinds of things isn't so much doing it as figuring out how it should look to look right.

All good stuff Rors . .

How about using a Disp Map of the Flag Draping OVER the Cup . . .woah . . that would be Lekker! - Forget the Wind in the flag . . use the Contours of the Cup and the Flag - Model-Like - draping/dripping the Spanish Flag off? - Really Sexy!

Bob I placed a Wave fx on the png flag first on the mask png only and it was out of sync “tried a short cut” but on mask and displacement png worked great big improvement on the edges, looks very natural thanks I will remember this in future

The outline and trophy ghost composited as add so it had a nice glow bombed some of the levels to drop the high clipping

Bob I still had a problem still with those images only had the 4 and different sizes and cropping so what I did is brought some closer and some further away and it helped create a deeper perspective so all round looks better

Thanks guys

ps...If you want to see the changes I can load it up

Terrific work gave me the feeling of reliving FIFA. Great concepts to learn from.

Thanks for showing.

"ps...If you want to see the changes I can load it up"

Sure why not.
I never trust my own work. I can waste hours / days futzing around with things no one else notices and ignore the bleeding obvious that should have hit me in the face like a brick.
