some problems with my vegas 4.0. please help

hi i'm new to the board. how's everyone?

well i have been using vegas 4.0 for a year now. so i'm not 100% familiar with the settings. anyways just 3 days ago i have been having trouble using the pan and crop option. it seems as though i can't do my usual animated zooming in and out and moving the vid all around sort of thing. u know how u start from the beginning and click on the marker u want it to stop zooming or moving and then right clicking the vid go to pan crop tool and then do it manually. i can't seem to do that. i think i clicked on a setting i'm not suppose to click. where is it at?
also when i have the marker at the beginning of the track or vid, it seems as though i have to move it a bit so i can see the preview on the preview screen
weird stuff. but if this is all confusing, is there a way i can reset the settings so i can just start all over and just fix stuff up

Is your Sync Cursor turned on (in thew keyframe controller)?

thanks u sir for helping me out. it was the sync controller that was unclicked. i have no clue why it was unclicked. thanks very much. i know it seems like a bonehead question to ask but i'm not yet familiar with the program yet

No problem.

The only thing boneheaded about your question is your aversion to using captial letters where appropriate, and using "u" instead of "you" which makes me think that you are a 12-year-old.
