Sony MS is getting great publicity in the Pinnacle forums... in fact, when people ask about Pan and crop in Studio9, they are told, "no, but buy Movie Studio which does do it, then export it back to Studio9".

hehehe I responded with:

"If you own Movie Studio 3.0, why would you every go back to Studio9? Thats like having a new Cadillac and deciding to drive a beatup Ford Pinto"

needless to say, they deleted my post <grin>

Hey, I just posted a question about pan / zoom, can you tell me how it is in Screenblast? Also, looks like I don't need to use my sucky Studio anymore?

You'll love the pan and zoom of Sony MS.

Its very easy... to do multiple moves you will need to insert the still for each sequence and apply the pan/zoom for that time frame. for example, if you want to pan to center and zoom in, then zoom in more and pan up, that would be two unique steps.

Its easy once you see how it is done. If you have not done so, download the free trial and play with it.

I too tossed Pinnacle away once I found Sony.

Also - if you want to do very complex pan and zooms, Vegas (the big brother of Movie Studio) does what is called keyframes. Its a tad more complex to learn, but offers much more flexibility. The interface of the two are very similar, so starting with Movie Studio makes it easy to leap into a professional level app.
