Sorry, I'm a slow learner
1-If I undersand well, when I shoot video using frame mode on the Gl1, the data on the tape will be flagged as progressive, meaning independently of the camera I use to transfer the video to my computer (I don't use a GL-1 to transfer) the video that will be captured will always be progressive.
2-Also, If I print to tape from vegas and choose the progressive mode, the tape will be flagged as progressive so if I capture on another computer with whatever miniDV camera, the video will still be progressive since it was flagged as progressive.
3-This said, that flag doesn't affect the video itself so it can play on a normal TV, but they're won't be interlacing flickers when I view it on a computer screen.
Am I right ?
Thanks,
Nat
