I bought Video Factory a cuople of weeks back and I'm so impressed I think I might upgrade to Vegas Video 3 (from Vegas Audio via an excellent email offer I recieved a few days back). I plan to sell my then unwanted copy of VF2 to help offset the cost VV3. How does the Sonic Foundry policy of limited registrations affect the new purchaser? Will it cause them headaches in the future?

Also, I'm hesitant to upgrade to VV3 because of the activation procedure. I worry that if Sonic Foundry were to close up shop, I will have invested in a package I could never re-install (something I do to clean out the OS a few times per year). Comments? I'd especially appreciate hearing from SF re their policy on this...
