Sony? Can I have my Graphics Editor appear?

We have this within DVDA. We have a "preferred" Audio editor witihin VEgas - at the moment SF has taken a backseat to iZoRX. But how about have an option to right click on a STILL/Graphic > Select "My Graphics-Package > futz-around with it > save and have me and it returned to VP now with the UPDATED Graphic event.

Now that would be neat . .. . ?

Yes, I have asked before, and yes I am asking, nicely, again 'cos over the past week been doing quite a bit of this Vegas<>PsP tango and it would be so nice to have this as an option within VP - as it is already in DVDA?

Best regards,

Grazie

So, this is not a perfect answer, but it may be good enough ...

If you're like me (God help you!) you keep the majority of your project's media in the same folder. This means that the Explorer view is pretty much the same as your Project Media view. So, with that in mind use the Explorer view, make sure that you have Windows' file association set up so that the default action for your various image files is to run the image editing software you want to use. In Explorer view right-mouse-button click on the image filename or thumbnail and choose "Open Media in Player". This tells Windows to "run" the file and it launches your chosen editing software. Make your changes, save the file, close or Alt-Tab back to Vegas.

Voila.

Can I add "import photoshop layers as tracks" to that request.

If I/we could do that probably wouldn't need so much backwards and forwards between Vegas and PS on some projects.

One way I do work that I find helpfull is to just leave PS open. If you've told Vegas to release files when it looses focus then for one PSD file at least you can just swap apps and do a Save in PS.

This could be one thing that would benefit from a 64bit OS and lots of RAM.

Bob,

That's probably the single coolest thing I could use at this point. Will keep me out of AE more as well as PS and that would just be OK!

That and a happy playground where Sony and Canon weren't duking it out ;)

Simply put: Why available in DVDA but not in VegasPro? Bizarre.
