I'm sure you might be able to get some things done, but I would upgrade to Vegas Pro 12 or 13.

Thanks for the reply. What is missing from 10 that is in 12 or 13?

Vegas Pro 11

Vegas Pro 12

Vegas Pro 13

On a lark, I rendered two of Old Smoke's 4K 100 Mbps XAVC test files in Vegas Pro 10 without incident. No plugins, no effects, etc. (The implication is that 1080 XAVC should be easier.)

I rendered for the Internet using a customized Sony AVC/MVC render template. Results are .

Thank you for the test. The fact that you worked with 4K in 10 without any special additions gives me hope. I would only be using 1080 P or I for the project. The project is two short interviews with some B Roll. They want to use the CX 900 and the bonus is I get to keep the camera after the project is done. I just wanted to make sure Vegas 10 Pro would handle the footage. Output will be to flat screens that are 42-60 inch. It may be projected to a 10 foot screen at some time.

It seems I should not have an issue.

That should justify any inconvenience there "might be" with sticking to VP10! :-)
