Sony does DivX, odd!

I thought hell would freeze over first but no Sony beat me to it.
Just bought the latest Sony DVD player and shock horror, one of its selling points is it'll play DivX, my goodness it's even certified by DivX.
Comes with a HDMI port and an upscaler for 720/1080.
So now one can play pirated DivX over a secured connection to prevent me pirating the pirated content, neato!
Better yet it plays SACD which is kind of nice, maybe they figured if they get the young kids with a patch over the eye to listen to the wonderous sound of SACD they'll sell more SACD CDs.

what model #? Does it support .MP4 container and AAC audio?

DVP NS92V

It does say it only supports Xvid/DivX upto 720x576, the rest I don't have a clue about. Oh, files must have .AVI extension.

Only reason I bought this expensive unit was I needed a player with RGB on SCART in a hurry, almost none of the current Sony models had that and the Chinese have deserted SCART for VGA, bugger.
So I ended up having to buy a Sony model from the new catalogue which meant paying top dollar, well I got 10% off for not saying "does it come with a r*****t ?"

I bought a sony SACD player a while back and returned it because it wouldn't play DTS CDs, only Sony's SACD format. I think it would play DVD-Audio, but the no DTS killed it for me.
