Take one track and drop a wave file on it in vegas 5. Then add 2 ultrafunk reverbs. When you go to tweak the rverb vegas crashes everytime on this end. Waves seems fine with 1 ultrafunk verb together.
This is with ultrafunk 2a.
Can anyone repro?
Strange. Doesn't happen with vegas 4 on same machine. P.s. I have photoshop on this same rig and it is running slowwwww after installing Vegas 5. Clues??
Thanx
David

Ultrafunk reverbs??? - I only have the Sony reverb filter availabe for reverbs. And if I apply two of them and tweak and render them everything's fine. I guess it's your reverb version which is not capable to work in Vegas.

Regarding Ultrafunk, I've only got older versions, I don't run Sonar on my Vegas machine, so haven't worked with the newer. Wouldn't surprise me if it was causing a crash.
Photoshop though, is a known problem in some multimedia rigs. Took a lot of reading before I quit blaming a Vegas 5 Beta a few months back, for some consistent crashes.
Hope this helps.

fx R3c seems fine. Good plugins, it's a shame they were discontinued.

I have a wierd photoshop bug after I installed V5. I've got Photoshop 5 & now everytime it starts it says that it can't find the SPROF32.DLL file. Haven't tried re-installing it to see if that fixes it (i've only ever seen photoshop run great on mac's in the first place!)

Thanx all. I found the hot fix windows xp pack "4141" to be the problem here as far as Photoshop goes.Once removed all was fine. Ultrafunk? Still crashes when adding 2 plugs. Version 2 of their software.
My printer went south as well. It now prints numbers at times in place of letters. LOL

Hmmmm. First off, I've spent some time on this forum to decide if I should upgrade from v4 to v5, I finally did and I'm quite pleased, I'm not finding the problems/errors/bugs/ugly interface that are fairly common in here, whew!

I've been running Photoshop for years (from version 3 to 7), on various PCs and it's been flawless, I also have a Mac, the behavior is almost identical. It could be that I build my PCs so there are no proprietary componets, maybe just lucky. As for the dll mentioned above, it appears that that dll is common for graphics software, I found it in my Windows directory, Corel directory (Photopaint), and Micrographics (Picture Publisher). TheHappyFriar, did you get the missing dll fixed, also, thank you for so many of your helpful previous posts, you've helped me out more times than I can remember.

Uh, David. Its always wrong to attempt to upgrade software when work needs to be done :-)
