Grazie,
It was this thread thap prompted me to change my extremely out of date system specs which i managed without issue. But just for the hell of it, I've just done it again twice and the changes saved OK both times.

What I could not get to work was updating the software (just upgraded to SF11 and VP13). In the past this has happened automatically for me when I register when installing/first running the software (which appeared to go through OK)
This time, entering the new serial numbers at the "Missing Products" Section in the"My Software" page did not work (oot refreshed the page but did not update)
However, I have since discovered that registering the software via the "Register Software" link on the panel on the right Headed "My Account", where it prompts for serial number AND machine ID DOES work.

It's not so peculiar that things aren'r working as expected - it's more peculiar that we are (apparently) seeing different results.

Using Fierfox here, bit had same result with system specs and registering software yesterday with Chrome.

Tim, this is what I and others and, at a guess, yourself too are seeing on your Specs. Do you SEE what we aren't seeing? So, it is NOT working as expected. It's not about UPDATING software, it's this:-

Just re-upload my thumbnail on my post above to make the problem more noticeable.

Hmmmm... not showing Windows version. Could have sworn it was this morning, but then age ... confusion.
Everything else is updated to what I entered a few days ago.
Grazie wrote on 4/23/2014, 9:34 PM
Plus, Tim, the field above. That's not working either.

I changed my specs recently and it worked. However, when I try to enter my new shipping and billing address, it refuses it and keeps displaying my old address.

And it does not even mention that today was my birthday (when I’m 64).

No it didn't, your 'Windows version' is blank.

There's no field above, that's a label.
The fields have ":" after their name.

Bob.
Grazie wrote on 4/24/2014, 2:57 AM
Actually, Bob, to be correct, the Field above the Operating System Field is the:

Computer Brand/Model:

As per this:

Can you see it in your update form? Yes? I'm supposing you can't, otherwise you'd have seen it and would have corrected me - yes?

Look at it by clicking on your NAME in one of your posts - NOT through your personal account. Presently you ARE looking at it through your personal account Settings. I know this 'cos you have that - Computer Brand/Model: Asus X551CA - Field Name showing.
