All you need to do now is pay for the 4k upgrade key to unlock the 60Mbp/s.

After doing so you will have a camcorder that has the LOWEST 4K bitrate in the entire camcorder industry. Yes,..far lower than ALL 4K, entry level, cheap Panasonic, Canon, JVC and any other Sony 4K cameras too!

Sony, please give this professional XDCAM camera the UHD industry standard for ENTRY-LEVEL cameras of 100Mbp/s. This is the bitrate standard that ALL cheap consumer 4k entry-level cameras have. (or higher) Even the Sony ActionCam has 100Mbp/s UHD today.

Sony, you have the ONLY 60Mbp/s UHD camera around today...the PXW-X70.

btw,..the camera now rights XAVC-L files that have proper metadata so that Sony Vegas can FINALLY read them!

Perhaps the codec is more efficient than those 100Mbp/s cameras.

There is a visible difference between the 100 and 60Mbps on my AX100. Especially objects in motion look a lot better. Last year Infilmed and eagle soaring and I can see that at 60Mbps the codec breaks apart. I did something similar a month ago with a Falcon and it was a lot better, as good as 30p is.

I still love my AX100 and don't think I will upgrade soon. I would miss the 120fps that the AX100 does a lot.

Proud owner of Sony Vegas Pro 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 and now Magix VP15&16.
