Sony releasing my film Tuesday - Edited w/Vegas 4!

On Tuesday April 12th Sony will be releasing the DVD of a film I made. It was mostly edited with Vegas 4, though there's some FCP also. (The editor used FCP but due to budget and his schedule, I had to finish the film myself, in Vegas 4. I'd say that 65-75% is Vegas, though even the remainder had tons of tweaks and changes done in Vegas.) The sound was done completely in Vegas (Spot's V4 book was VERY helpful). I also did all of the visual FX myself, on the same computer.

The movie may not be everyone's cup of tea-- it's a low budget Bigfoot film-- but it was a lot of fun to make. It was shot on film, though if I were doing it today I'd do it on HDV or full HD.

So hey Sony, how about a free upgrade to Vegas 6 for me! :-)

Looks great. Great preview. Your Sasquatch is truly horrifying. I was not expecting what I just saw. Wow.

I'll see it when netflix has it. I don't buy many movies these days but I'll probably buy this just to support a fellow vegas user. Congrats man!

OT: My buddy is currently working a short Called "The man in the silo". http://www.undertheinfluenceinc.com/silo/ They have Doug Jones of Hell Boy Fame and Doom which isn't even out yet signed on. Unfortunately it will probably be edited in FCP an not in vegas :( It's still in pre-production.

Just want to mention that I picked up a copy of my film (never got a screener from Sony) and it looks a little softer and darker than I'd intended it. My apologies for that if it bothers anyone. Maybe next time they'll let *me* do the MPEG2 myself out of Vegas. :-)
