I think the DVC 30 from panny is going to come the closest to what you want although low light may still be a problem.
At the end of the day if you want decent sized CCDs and enough glass to pull in decent light then the thing has to weight x and be a certain size. Just a matter of physics.
Sony used to make a decent palmcorder, the PC100, in the pursuit of whatever market I'll never know they replaced it with increasingly worse cameras, go figure!
Then they did the same thing to the TRV900!
I see that I need to do a lot more research. I didn't see any mention of Cannon's GL2 camcorder by anyone. Camcorderinfo.com has some good things to say about it.
