Yep, taped, captured, and edited by Tim Duncan on a laptop (using Excalibur) before the plane landed. They almost had time to play it on the airplane's video system but the taping started late.

Used it (Excaliber) for a couple of projects over the weekend, Great program and a real time saver.
I saw Timothy Duncan's sample of the concert and description of how he put it together. Amazing what one can do with Vegas (and Excaliber of course).

If you purchased it the PDF will tell you all you need to know.
If you haven't....and was wondering how involved a process it was- it's as simple as syncing up your various cameras (can use the included Sync Tool in Excalibur to help) then after naming all your tracks simply make markers with the name of the track you want to switch to at any given point on the timeline. There's more details than that but that's the basic gist.
I can't live without Excalibur especially doing multi-cam wedding shoots.

If you like Excalibur 2.0, just wait until you see the incredible improvements in 3.0. With the new 3.0 version I could have cut the Sheryl Crow video in 5 minutes instead of 10. :-)

Secondly, I have a complete multi-cam article discussing 4 different methods, including using Excalibur, at Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts A couple other articles review versions 1 and 2 of Excalibur.
Finally, we'd be happy to answer any specific questions about the product. However, "does anyone know how it works" is kinda vague. Generally speaking, it assists in the syncing of the cameras and building of the final master product. It's the easiest means I've found for multi-cam work and it's getting easier with every release.
