Sony Support Page = Perpetual Loop?

I was trying to submit a tech support request on the appropriate Sony tech support request web page.

Filled in all the blanks, uploaded a JPG screen cap file of the issue, etc.

After filling in all of the info, the next page gives me a chance to create a new account if I don’t have a username. I do have a user name (kentwolf). I see no option to submit with my current user name. Only an option to create a new account. When I try to do a new account, I am told that the e-mail address (mine) is already in use. I am presented with no option other than to create a new account, which cannot happen seeing I already have a user name/account.

I went through this no less than 5 times. Filled in all the blanks and uploaded the JPG file showing the issue no less than 5 times.

At the top of the page with all of the details, I tried entering it with my User name, my e-mail address, each time I was presented with the “Create a new account” step. Each time, I cannot create a new account seeing I already have one.

I made sure I was logged in with my username before doing this attempted submission.

I finally gave up. To my knowledge nothing was submitted by me.

Is there some critical step I am missing here?

This is my first time, I believe, I have ever submitted a tech support request for Vegas 4, 5, 6, 7, and now 8. I am reasonably proficient with computers, so I do not believe it is an issue of that.

Does anyone know why I seem to be stuck in this perpetual loop? Am I missing some critical step? This is very, very frustrating.
