Sony Support Plans?

Anyone used this

I've been using the regular support option offered under 'my account' (my support) and it's been terrible. I put in a technical query about an issue I was having on the 12/13/2012, I didn't get a response until 01/03/2013 (23 days later)

The suggestion put to me about making some changes in the program preferences didn't fix the problem, so I asked a follow question about the issue, this was 19 days ago, i've since asked for an update, still nothing no response. I find this to be a common occurrence when I turn to 'my account support' for help.

The issue is question is in regards to communication between black magic intensity card and vegas pro 12, getting random freeze frames on an external preview (all drivers up to date). previous versions work fine.

I find vegas support to be the worst I've ever seen in any software product.

The customer support response times you have experienced are about 120% faster than the times I have experienced over the past 2 years.

I've never seen someone here say they've used the paid support option. I can certainly think of situations where it'd be worth the price, but only IF you called and they picked up the phone.

The problem is that SCS never pushes the paid support and that makes me think that it doesn't really exist except as an offer on a web page. And the free support is sooooo bad that "better" paid support could still be unacceptably bad.

I'd love to hear otherwise.
