SONY support - please look at this

I own a SONY VAIO and the analog inputs seems to be dedicated to the rather inferior GigaPocket software.

Would SONY contemplate to allow Movie Factory to use the VAIO analog inputs as well for capture of analog video or is there a way to do that in MF ?

I've got an answer from Sony and they say that MS only interface with "Firewire" type interfaces.

In that case, in order to capture analog, you will need to look at a OCHI compliant device that offers analog inputs... such as the canopus ADVC1394, ADVC100 or 300.

I use the ADVC1394 - it is a pci card with firewire and analog inputs.
