I've been using Sony Vegas for editing and playback. The only thing different between NOW and my October 2011 performance is time and whatever updates to the Windows OS. I'm still running Sony Vegas Pro 10e, 64-bit on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, 8 gigs RAM and multiple 1TB+ hard drives inside the machine. Show is in 7 days. I finally got the final video file rendered.
Here's the problem:
I'm playing back the video. At some point, I am told Sony Vegas stops working and asks me to submit an error report. I'm not sure when the error is happening as I am leaving the room for the purposes of working on other stuff and I can't sit around waiting for the error.
Only other thing I can think of offering is my audio device is a M-Audio Firewire 410 interface and I am using 3 audio channels: 2 for stereo playback, 1 for a cue track to go to the spot-ops which I will route via an aux on my console to feel their in-ears.
I am also sending MTC at 24fps/IVC Film.
Content is HD 1080p.
This worked flawlessly last show.
The time code runs to a second computer that is running the lighting software and a secondary projection.
I cannot afford to buy the upgrade as I have a never-ending long story of a client who pays late(if at all, try sometimes 90+ days late) and with the price hike to $189 or whatever, I can't afford to upgrade. I also don't run events without paid for software.
