Sony Vegas Pro 15: When i put videos into vegas they get all messed up

This is what it looks like whereas in windows media player it looks fine.

It still appears the same after i export it.

My PC:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.59GHz

Installed RAM: 8.00 GB

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

What build of VP15? (see Help menu > About)

What's the video supposed to look like?

Build 177

It's a screen recording of my desktop for testing purposes.

I already tried downgrading to VP14 to see if that would help which, it didn't.

The issue becomes a lot more prevalent when i edit the video in any way.
